BUTTERFLY BALLET

Butterflies are insects with beautiful, vibrant wings. There are more than 100,000 species of butterflies in the world. They feed on nectars and taste food with their feet. They undergo metamorphosis to transit through their life cycles. The Hyderabad Zoo has the first open butterfly park in India established in 1992. There are about 45 species of free-ranging butterflies here. There is also an insectarium with 91 display boxes of several dragonflies, beetles, bees, ants, wasps, butterflies, moths, flies, mantis and true bugs.
